The challenge

Coatings used in the agricultural sector have to withstand a variety of demands: milk rooms need an easy-to-clean and hygienic flooring. Milking parlours require resilient, robust coatings with anti-slip properties to ensure that the animals have secure footing. Feed tables must be protected from penetrating silage liquids so that the building structure remains intact. Our coatings can also be used to preserve the concrete in biogas plants – legal requirements specify that water protection floors are used here. Depending on the individual demands, these coatings have to be resistant to faeces, urine, silage containing lactic acid and feed residues. It is necessary for them to be easy to clean and disinfect and, for safety reasons, be equipped with a good slip-resistance.
