Milk production in agriculture
Walking and traffic paths in the agricultural sector that are suitable for use in food production.
Assignment and requirements
Agricultural areas pose many different demands on reactive resin floors. Especially the feed and food production requires suitable and certified coatings. Besides the traffic and walkways, further surfaces in the production area of this dairy farm had to be coated.
Particularities and challenges
Coatings used in milk production must not only be easy to clean. At the same time, they must have good slip-resistance to minimise the risk of falling in the work areas. Higher resistance to different chemicals and mechanical stress complement the requirements of this special project.
The solution
System A3 KLB INDUSTRIAL EP RX is a slip-resistant epoxy resin coating with good resistance to various chemicals. By scattering with quartz sand, a non-slip surface can be created to ensure occupational safety in front of the milking parlour, especially in wet conditions. The flooring is also extremely resistant to chemically aggressive substances such as urine, faeces and cleaning agents, thus offering a long and economical service life.
