Timeless design flooring in wiping look without joints

New coating at Müllerbräu brewery in Pfaffenhofen – aesthetic, durable and easy to clean.

Assignment and requirements

At the historic Müllerbräu show brewery, a new floor coating was installed across various areas, including the guest room, event location, conference rooms and sanitary facilities.

As well as being visually stunning, the new flooring had to meet the highest standards of hygiene, chemical resistance and ease of cleaning. Particularly in such high-traffic areas, it was essential that the coating could also withstand significant mechanical loads.

Particularities and challenges

Special attention was given to the listed entrance area, which required a delicate balance between heritage protection and modern design.

A wiping technique was used to create a harmonious transition between the old and new, while preserving the original industrial character of the building.

The solution

System G7 KLB DECOR LOW-VOC PU Light Sealed enables a seamless look that blends perfectly with the existing historic area. With the additional KLB-SYSTEM POLYURETHAN PU 811 E top sealer, the flooring fulfils all hygiene, chemical and mechanical resistance requirements.

The H2 KLB KITCHEN LOW-VOC PU system, which was specially developed for food areas, also proved its effectiveness in the brewery’s kitchen. This certified floor covering is particularly resistant to grease, oil and highly staining substances, withstands intensive cleaning and guarantees maximum workplace safety thanks to its slip resistance (R12).
