Renovation of linoleum flooring with KLB FLOOR SEALER
Seamless, low-emission PU sealing for the Wiesloch daycare center.
Assignment and requirements
At the “Eine Welt” family center in Wiesloch, a nearly 20-year-old, heavily used linoleum floor needed to be renovated.
The goal was to create a hygienic, easy-care, and visually appealing surface without completely replacing the flooring and significantly disrupting the daycare center’s operations.
Particularities and challenges
The floor showed clear signs of wear, pressure marks, and discoloration that could no longer be cleaned. A complete replacement was out of the question for cost and time reasons.
At the same time, hygienic requirements had to be met, the floor had to be durable, and it also had to have low VOC emissions.
The solution
With the low-emission FLOOR SEALER EXCLUSIVE system, the existing linoleum floor could be renovated seamlessly and economically without having to tear it out.
Unevenness and pressure marks were leveled out, followed by a coloured sealant with decorative chip scattering. The final 2K-PU sealant KLB FLOOR SEALER 100 Transparent creates a robust, easy-to-clean surface and extends the service life of the floor.
