Assignment and requirements

Floor coverings complement holistic, individual retail concepts and guarantee an inviting effect in supermarkets. Matching the design of a new farm shop in Jettingen, Germany, the installed coating scattered with partiColor^® chips was a high-quality solution for such areas that are subject to visual demands.

The scattering with flakes ensures that light soiling or dust are less visible: which makes it particularly suitable for selling and other interior spaces where an attractive, easy-to-clean floor is required.

Particularities and challenges

The coloured design coating blends in perfectly with the overall look of the new salesroom and is ideal for a whole range of such decorative applications.

At the same time, it fulfils the highest quality standards with its ease of cleaning. Wear resistance and robustness are the hallmarks of the decorative chips scattered floor system. Even in direct sunlight, it remains light-stable to a large extent.

The solution

System G7 KLB DECOR LOW-VOCU PU Light Sealed consists of a primer and scratch coat made of KLB-SYSTEM EPOXID EP 57. In line with the aesthetic requirements of a design floor, size 1 partiColor^® chips have been scattered in two different colour shades.

The transparent, silky-gloss and finely structured KLB-SYSTEM POLYURETHAN PU 882 top sealer was chosen for this project. The latter not only gives the surface an attractive appearance using the colour flakes, but also increases its durability and resistance to chemicals.
