Poultry farm Massing – CHEMORESIN PU-BETON for demanding production conditions
Hygienically demanding wet and cleaning areas.
Assignment and requirements
In the processing area for poultry cutting at TLC Landgeflügel GmbH in Massing, around 405 m² of floor area was to be fitted with a permanently hard-wearing coating. The floor is exposed daily to moisture, cleaning chemicals, high-pressure cleaning, and high mechanical and thermal loads.
What was required was a jointless, liquid-tight and hygienic surface that can permanently withstand the demanding production conditions and at the same time provides reliable slip resistance of rating group R11 V4.
Particularities and challenges
After production ends, the equipment and floor areas are regularly foamed. The cleaning agents act for a longer period before being rinsed off with high pressure. The floor coating must reliably withstand these intensive and recurring cleaning processes.
At the same time, a permanently robust surface, safe walkability when wet, and high resistance to fluctuating temperatures were required.
The solution
The system used was I1 KLB CHEMORESIN PU-BETON Standard with CHEMORESIN PU-BETON 4009 at a layer thickness of 9 mm. The system was developed specifically for production areas that are regularly exposed to water, chemicals, mechanical stress and fluctuating temperatures.
The jointless PU-BETON coating can be cleaned with high pressure and steam, is resistant to hot water up to 130°C, and temperature-resistant up to 150°C in dry heat. Combined with the slip-resistant surface, it meets the high requirements for hygiene, safety and durability in food processing.
The components of the system were individually tested by EUROFINS, are each certified to EMICODE EC1PLUS, and meet the emission criteria of DGNB, LEED and BREEAM. The result is a durable industrial floor for permanently demanding production and cleaning conditions.
