Design floor coating in the event location "Diamant"
Hard-wearing and decorative floor for a festivity hall.
Assignment and requirements
In this venue, the surfaces in the seating and walking areas had to be visually separated from each other to accommodate the different uses. The floors should be robust and durable, but also low in emissions to meet the regulations for recreation rooms.
Particularities and challenges
A decorative flakes scattered coating was applied to the walkways and dance floors, while the hosting and seating areas should be covered with the same material but using a wiping technique.
In addition to high robustness, both coatings were required a pleasant appearance. The transition between the two floors needed to be seamless.
The solution
The heavily frequented traffic areas were scattered with partiColor® chips to achieve a decorative look. A design wiping technique in two grey tones was used for the remaining areas, with the silk-gloss transparent top sealer giving the floor a particularly classy-looking “diamond-like” finish.
The design flooring can withstand mechanical stress, which makes it very hard-wearing and abrasion-resistant, even after longer celebrations. Fully adapted to the needs of an event location, the new coating has a very exclusive and unique effect – for events that are one of a kind.
