Highly individual room concepts for corridors, offices and lounge areas

Assignment and requirements
For this flooring project in the Antwerp Tower in Belgium, it was important to harmonise all aspects of the interior design with each other.
Hallways, offices, boardrooms and a lounge zone covering 1,100 m² were fitted with a coating system in matching colours.
Particularities and challenges
This well-considered choice of colours for the different areas of use has created a harmonious spatial concept. It gives each surface its own identity according to its function, and contributes to a consistent design aesthetic throughout the building.
In the lounges, a warm brown colour tone is synonymous for a friendly atmosphere, while the offices are designed in an elegant, timeless black. Small corridors appear wider and more open thanks to their white floors.
The solution
All areas were primed with the universal KLB-SYSTEM EPOXID EP 50, followed by a scratch coat made of the same EP 50 and mixed sand KLB-Mischsand 2/1.
A smooth coating was applied with KLB-SYSTEM POLYURETHAN PU 420 in a layer thickness of 2 mm. The floor is then resistant to mechanical loads – and the largely light-stable, coloured matt sealer KLB-SYSTEM POLYURETHAN PU 806 E helps the floor to retain its attractive appearance in the long term.
