Assignment and requirements

It was the customer’s wish to develop a design concept that would be consistent throughout the entire tattoo studio. Thus, the requirements were clearly specified: a high-quality and decorative surface in a chic wiping technique design. Furthermore, the coating should not be affected by light influences, especially from the shop windows.

Particularities and challenges

This project implied the challenge of adapting the colour scheme of the reception, sales and office spaces to the medical areas. As a special eye-catcher, various logos were to be incorporated into the coating system. The customer required a seamless design floor to smoothly accompany all areas of the tattoo studio, from the showroom to the medical work station.

The solution

System G7 KLB DECOR LOW-VOC PU Light Sealed is a high-quality, self-levelling 2-component polyurethane resin coating. In this particular case, a two-colour wiping technique was created for the floors of the tattoo studio to be an eye-catching feature. The coating can be used in areas where good usability, comfort and an attractive appearance are needed, e.g. in commercial areas such as exhibition spaces, offices and sales rooms, hospitals, etc. The entire system is certified according to “Indoor Air Comfort” and complies with the criteria for building certification according to DGNB, LEED or BREEAM. It is low-emission and therefore particularly suitable for recreation rooms.
