The low-VOC polyurethane coating KLB-SYSTEM POLYURETHAN PU 414 FLAIR is ideal for creating highly decorative surfaces that give every room an individual and unique FLAIR. It is best used in interiors where the emphasis is on a visually appealing floor – such as in residential or commercial areas, offices, medical facilities, fitness and wellness centres or educational institutions like schools, universities and colleges. Other applications include retail, museums, hotels and libraries.
As well as providing aesthetic accents and an elegant, jointless surface look, the coating offers a high level of walking comfort and thus counteracts signs of fatigue: in combination with an elastic intermediate layer, effective impact sound insulation can be achieved.

Low-emission
The ecological formulation of PU 414 FLAIR fulfils the high requirements of low VOC content, as required for sustainable building. This means that the limit values of the EU Decopaint Directive 2004/42/EC can even be exceeded. What’s more, this product meets strict quality and health standards, is approved by AgBB and particularly suitable for private living spaces, commercial surfaces or public facilities.

Elegant and modern design
A wide range of design options with individual textured effects in many trendy colours give free rein to creativity. It is easy to create and personalise stylish and highly attractive surfaces within creative flooring and room concepts.

Flexible
With PU 414 FLAIR, you can now choose an adaptable product for different uses: it is suitable for various substrates and renovation projects. 25% of its raw materials are renewable and 55% are from natural resources, making it particularly environmentally friendly.
PU 414 FLAIR in short – how to install and structure a design flooring
Substrate preparation
Prepare the substrate, e.g. concrete or cement screed, by shot-blasting and prime accordingly with a KLB base coat. For decorative floorings, it is recommended to apply a scratch coat as an optimum base in order to obtain a homogeneous and adhesive surface for the subsequent coating.
Application of the coating
After preparation, apply the 2-component PU coating in an even layer thickness using a suitable toothed trowel. After approx. 10 minutes, roll out with a spiked roller.
Structuring the surface
Structuring is then carried out to achieve the desired surface appearance or the flowing shades that are typical for this product.
Depending on the installer’s preference and technique, this can be done with a standing squeegee or by hand with a trowel or spatula. In this way, highly individual textured effects can be created, giving the flooring a personal touch and allowing for creative interior design.
